Personality: Ma Yunlu is a maiden raised since birth to be a warrior. Instilled with strict training from her clan, she secretly desires to live as a normal woman of her class. Wanting to protect her home and family, however, she fights with daring, masculine pride. Ma Yunlu is a mentally resilient woman who bares the responsibility of enduring several hardships. While many worry for her safety, her strong determination prevents her from depending too much on them. She is passionate for guarding the safety of her home. To her friends and loved ones, she is quite generous and can be quite nurturing to younger people. Despite her composure, Ma Yunlu can be quite sarcastic at times and will openly chastise those whom act selfishly or insensitively.

Intelligent and elegant, she also has little patience for those whom underestimate her and chauvinistic attitudes in general. She is a headstrong warrioress, who clings strongly to her own beliefs and is stubborn to change. She also overexerts herself and takes desperate actions to continue fighting for her dream. History: Ma Teng's most favored daughter. Younger sister of Ma Chao, Ma Xie, and Ma Tie. Along with beauty like that of a heavenly maiden, she also excelled in valor. Ma Yunlu was also the wife of Zhao Yun, and an esteemed warrior of Shu. After Ma Teng, Ma Xie, and Ma Tie were killed by Cao Cao's plot, she followed Ma Chao in his battles for vengeance. Driven to end Cao Cao's claim in her homeland, she leads an army along with her brother Ma Chao who pacifies Quanzhong for his clansmen and rallies with Han Sui to reclaim Xi Liang. Ma Yunlu lead a no-nonsense, frontal assault against many strong Wei generals. Since the siblings were influenced by revenge and hatred they lost many friends and comrades on their quest for vengeance. Once the siblings are betrayed by their uncle, Han Sui and many of their officers, Ma Yunlu realizes she was believing in a tainted justice and wanders to find a new life for herself.

After their defeat, she went with Ma Chao and her cousin Ma Dai to serve Liu Bei. Left with nothing but hatred, her meeting with Liu Bei changes the maiden's outlook with his vision of unity. Upon joining Shu, Ma Yunlu met the wife of the Shu strategist, Huang-Yue Ying and they soon became best friends. They loved to discuss military strategy and show off their military prowess. Lady Ma then meets Zhao Yun in the invasion of Yizhou. She admired him for his bravery and heroism as he became enamored by her beauty and valor. The two were soon wedded, making Zhao Yun and Ma Chao brother in-laws. Ma Yunlu then led in the battles of Jingzhou alongside her husband. She was a great warrior and was always ready to fight. Ma Yunlu became a favorite battle companion for her brothers and husband. She was an esteemed warrior of Shu.
