Only a few hours ago the city of Xiang Yang had finally fallen to mighty Shu, with Generals Mi Zhu and Xin Fai at it's head. Though Xin Fai had not been available the past couple of days, Mi Zhu had put in a request to be enfiefed by his lord as the Prefect of Xiang Yang. In the meantime he had come to just across the river from the city, at the fortress of Hu Yang. He had come here to make this fortress impregnable, essentially assuring that the enemy would not only fail to conquer the city, but that they would never be able to reach it. Wei would probably be here soon to try and take Jing from his lord. The fact is that they would quickly need to prepare for the possible attacks.
Mi Zhu himself sits atop his lead warship, the Tsunami. Along with himself he has brought along the majority of his infantry troops and all of his archers, with his veterans being assigned to take over the leadership of the fortress, along with Mi Zhu's own pikemen and his son, Mi Lei will be taking over as the fort commander. Turning to his son, Mi Zhu says:
My son I am quite pleased to see that you have healed up so well from your wound. Xiang Yang's conclusion took far longer than it should have. But I am glad it is done and now we can get to work on rebuilding. Are you prepared to get to work on Hu Yang's fortress?
Of course dear father. I will get to work as soon as we reach the shore. Personally I think I'll lead the majority of our army towards to woods to begin cutting down some trees to reinforce the walls, meanwhile I'd recommend you gather together the archers and peasent levy to gather together the tools you'll need to actually begin to reinforce the walls, stock up on arrows and such things.
I am of course in total agreement my son and then once all of this is done we will begin to set up various defenses and traps outside the walls, as well as then upgrading the fortresses dock to ensure that even if the enemy encircles the fort we can resupply the troops within. Son as soon as we disembark I think we should get to work.
After their conversation is finished Mi Zhu smiles and awaits their arrival in Hu Yang.
(OOC: This will be a three-four part task with each post being roughly equal length.)
