Engineers were measuring the distances from one side of the camp to the other as Zhou Yu and the army of Shou Chun arrived. It was a beautiful day as the weather was concerned with the sun shining bright in a clear sky. This worked to the advantage of the builders as no one wanted to construct duing a rain storm. "Ah, my lord" the lead engineer said, turning to see the arriving mass of soldiers with Gongjin at the head. "As you requested, we have marked off the area for building." The lead engineer bowed and backed away from Yu as he dismounted his steed. Both men walked around the construction site going over some details about the build. Shortly after, Yu waved on his men and they received orders on what they were to do. "There needs to be a trench dug around the perimeter of this area" he said, showing them on a drawn up plan but also with his finger physically. "We will place two large logs into the trench, laying down, and then the main support beams with logs standing up between them. We will then fill it with earth and move on from there."The men were speaking with each other, exchanging ideas, but some of them had already started to dig. With a anxious look from Zhou Yu, the remainder all began to get to work. There were more than 1000 workers on the project and Zhou Yu was expecting his advisor, Liang Xun, to arrive as well. **Not Completed**

They couldn’t have asked for a better day; a bright blue sky, sun unmasked by the scattered clouds, and a breeze to temper the warmth to a comfortable degree. Liang Xun couldn’t help but chuckle, “Perhaps Zhou Yu can commune with the gods as Zhuge Liang does,” he thought. He arrived at the designated spot roughly an hour or so after he left the city, not at all in the mood to rush. The day was just too perfect to not enjoy.
He was so wrapped up in his thoughts he didn’t even really hear the sounds of construction workers until he could lay eyes on them. Hundreds of men were scouring about, some heaving massive logs, while others seemed to be marking off spots and overseeing. As he surveyed, he came across the Grand Strategist himself, doing a little of the latter. A man, roughly his age, came up to take the reigns from him, while he dismounted. He approached Gongjin without a sound, until he was right next to him.
[Maroon]“So how’s my most gracious and patient master doing?”[/Maroon] If Yu wasn’t completely thrown by the surprise greeting, he might note the emphasis given to ‘patient’. However, Liang Xun smiled all the same, his eyes no longer on the new Prefect but instead trying to decipher what the greater picture here was. [Maroon]“Now would be a great time to fill me in on what you’re concocting. If it’s not too much trouble, that is.”[/Maroon] Sarcasm was layered so heavily the grand strategist just might need a raft to not drown.

Zhou Yu was about to speak with one of the engineers concerning what side he wanted the entrances on when his esteemed colleague appeared. Well, he was more like the Wu towel boy but he was one of the best.
Liang Xun would not be able to see the eyes of his lord rolling to the side once he started to speak, but they did no doubt.
"Well, well" Yu started, peering down at his sun dial clock that Zhuge Liang made for him.
"Only an hour or so late, that is actually on time for you."
The engineer walked off, knowing that he had other things to do while Xun and Yu conversed.
As to his question about the overall plan, Gongjin responded thusly:
"If you can see in the far distance, there is a dam that is holding the river back. Should the enemy destroy it, the city would be f'd in the a."
Wu soldiers were still digging vigorously and others chopping wood like they were cutting the limbs from Wei enemies. They were making good time and keeping a steady pace.
After the camp went up, they would move on to the watch towers. However, word had been sent to Zhu Yi and he would probably move to assist with that project.

The young advisor listened, really he did, but it was just too boring to only do that. As Zhou Yu spoke voicing his reasons he walked off, but not too far, to help a few men who were clearly having an issue. There seemed to be some confusion over the depth and angle of a piece of wood, and one man’s vein looked to be popping out of his head. With a smile Liang reached down and with careful and tedious hands positioned the wood appropriately. Standing, and wiping his hands, he nodded to the group before walking back over to Zhou Yu.
[Maroon]“Well, that’s wonderfully observant of you Prime Minister and eloquently worded, I might add.”[/Maroon] Liang’s eyes danced with pleasure at being so obnoxious, but knew his friend needed the contrasting personality lest he have an anxiety attack in court or something. [Maroon]“I presume I’m here to hold your hand through this endeavor, then?” [/Maroon] He was sure the smile was unnecessary, considering his friend must know how much he loves standing around. Why not smile about it?

One of the soldiers chuckled when Liang Xun commented about holding Zhou Yu's hand, but an evil glare from Yu quickly changed that. That same soldier would be scooping up the horse shit from the construction site back to Shou Chun. If Xun was not careful, he would be eating it.
"If I may have a word, old friend" Yu said, waving him comrade over away from the men.
"You know that I appreciate your humor, Xun. However, I request that you not disrespect me in front of the men as discipline in war is as important as any other aspect. I know you understand, so please do not take this to heart."
Zhou Yu put his hand on Liang Xun's shoulder, hoping his advisor would not take offense. Yu's eyes darted to the right, to see if anyone was looking and then he brought his hand over and slapped Xun across the face!
The 'prime minister' laughed and brought his two fingers up to point at his eyes as if saying that he was watching Xun.
"Back to work you lazy bastard" he said walking back toward the site.
The camp was almost completed, but there were still a few issues to see to.

Liang Xun did nothing, as usual, but the men he brought did. They worked together with Zhou Yu's men to construct the rest of the camp.
It was nothing special, but it would be used to house some soldiers to defend the main entrance into Shou Chun but also the dam behind it.
The End........
