Heron also serves as Xixiao's primary horseback weapon, as Crane is not suited for mounted offense. Heron is sheathed at Xixiao's right hip for a quick, underhanded draw should an attack make it through Crane's hefty defense.[/ul]

History: Born in the county of Qiao, Xixiao grew up under his father's and grandfather's reputations as well-known civial and military officials. At a young age, he found himself fond of horseback hunting, though his skill with the bow paled in comparison with his proficiency with a sword.

Xixiao was an arduous student, his intellect displayed not only in his studies, but also in his woodwork inventions. It was apparent that he would grow up to become a strong general like his already militarized cousin, Cao Cao. He first made a name for himself as a general serving under the united Han coalition that opposed Dong Zhuo's army, fighting constantly at the front lines of the field. During this campaign, he ran across Ran Kai Rui in Chang An, and would eventually make him his prime strategist in future battles.

Since the defeat of Dong Zhuo, Xixiao has wandered Zhongyuan, acting with his troops as a mercenary force of well renown. However, the Three Kingdoms have a heavy influence all across China; the shrewd general cannot continue his freelancing life if he wishes to make a name for himself.

Perhaps he'll strike a deal with his cousin, Cao Cao... After all, blood runs thicker than water.

Synopsis: A tall, slender young man characterized by his devious golden eyes and a messy mop of brown hair. His attire consists of baggy yellow pants which are kept from billowing by steel shin guards, as well as woven straw sandals. There isn't much protecting his upper body besides a hard leather tunic with a yellow overcoat. He is Xixiao's primary strategist and personal bodyguard, a man of cunning who does not consider himself above under-handed tactics, much like his general. Zǐrui was discovered seven years ago by Xixiao in Chang An, a mere fledgling strategist at the time. Since then, he has proven himself useful to his master on more than one occasion. He's a bit more reserved in comparison to Xixiao, but is prone to crack a joke when the opportunity presents itself.
Weapons: Zǐrui's primary weapons are a pair of butterfly swords kept neatly in a sheath strapped to the back of his waist. A slender man like him isn't meant to hit hard; instead, when he is forced into direct combat, it is swift, precise attacks that will earn him his kills.[/blockquote]
