:Troops: Veteran Bowmen 300 Pikemen 300 Vet Swordsmen 200 Medium Calvary 100 Drum Unit
Quickly Sarugaku road up the hill west of Xiang Yang. Forces surrounding him and going up the hill. Quickly Sarugaku raised his hand, moving it outward. The men automatically knew that they needed to set up a camp at that position.
After a few hours when night fell the camp was complete. Officers from each of the units came to meet up with him and spoke to him in a soft tone of voice. "Sire, the camp is ready please give us an order."Sarugaku shifted around on his horse and looked down toward them. "As usual we attack only rich looking transports. In a pack of 7 or more preferably. I will be up here with the archers. Pikemen you will be at the base of the hill hidden as much as you can. Horse men you and the swordsmen will be at the rear hiding in the woods. Pikemen make sure you are not seen until the order is given!" The officers quickly snapped to attention and road outward toward the said area's.
Before they deployed Sarugaku shifted toward the full unit of his men. "All of you, and I am almost sure, all of you have done an ambush with me before. You know how this works. But as well you know that we need too, you know that we need to do this for the future of Wu. Hopefully this will be our last Ambush. But all of you know that if it is required for us to do so we will do it with no regret. That is how I raised you, all of you are my family and will always be considered to be so." The men before him nodded, they knew that Sarugaku hated ambushing. As well they knew the situation of the war and knew that this had to be done for the sake of Wu and their Empire. All of them gave a cheer and ran toward their positions.
The drum unit and the archer's quickly were ready at the top of the hill with Sarugaku. Sarugaku's optics looked downward toward the road waiting for the right unit of men. The men started to get a bit worried. Being so close to the city was dangerous. Even if they were very well hidden it was still hard and made some of the men nervous. But not enough to throw them off of track.
After a few days a rather large train of convoys came into the sights of Sarugaku. The convoy's looked as if they were in a pack of 5 or more. Quickly the drums started beating. Sending out a vast signal that it was time. The arrows started to launch, sending a massive wave of arrows toward the convoys. After a while the drums stopped and the men started to charge. The horse units charging though to break the formation. After hopefully breaking the formation they started to attack as well as the pikemen and the swordsmen attacking.

Realism check. Okay, this will not bode well with you, but as a member of staff we’re treating you as we would another member of staff. We lead via example, your big mistake is simple – your whole post, and I will explain why in my return post, which, to be fair – will cripple you. You cannot attack another caravan in the same manner as your other ambush post, you have so many flaws in your post it’s uncanny.
Gan Sin was on his way back from the central plains when he came across some disturbing news, an army – well hidden from the sights of Xiang Yang was held up behind a thicket of shrub and bush. At first he had thought little off it, but as he passed the cities walls he could not help but remember of the stories that had began to plague the common people.
These supplies were not government belongings, no such thing ever truly existed – they were taxes enforced upon good working citizens, that were stolen by an ambush that was very similar to the design that he had seen not only an hour or so ago.
Disturbed – and outraged by this news, he forced himself before the prefect of Xiang Yang, and pleaded.
“My Lord, an army is stationed on the northern supply route to the city; I fear it is similar to the case reported in Yi.”
The prefect nodded, although he did not fear this slight incursion, “Very well, send scouts at once.”
The team of scouts, which were a total of 10, moved out of the cities gates and began to explore the surroundings, they were dressed in peasantry garments, and were overlooked when they stumbled across remnants of urine and human excrement’s, it had seemed these men had been in wait for days now, and lucky too that they were found, for if they had not then the cargo that was departing the city would have been stolen.
Inside the city, the cargo departed from its stand, and 7 great wagons trotted across the open expanse, each wagon filled with scrolls, equipment and a collection of gold stored in chests. They were manned by a group of 300 soldiers, a split division of thirds between swordsmen, bowmen and spearmen. But there was more to it than what met the eye.
As they left, the drums began to roar and up came the volley of arrows that were launched from beyond the cities gates, in the thicket of trees and bushes that had so far concealed the approaching ambush were the veteran swordsmen and pikemen, who charged out when the drums changed their tone.
Cavalry came storming towards the cargo, and the spearmen fled in fear of their designs, it had been another successful ambush when new drum rolls were sounded, and the army of Xiang yang emerged from the eastern and western sides of the road, their army was only small, but they vastly out-numbered the ambushing party. Then, with the change of tempo on the drums, the Xiang Yang militia released a volley of their own arrows, spraying blood and destruction among the ranks of the ambushers.
“Now men!” The prefect called out in rage, and his army followed suit, “CHARGE!”
With him followed his army, surrounded and seemingly trapped, the ambushed unit had 1 of 2 options, run for their lives or stay and fight.
Xiang Yang Army 500 veteran swordsmen 500 pikemen 500 heavy cavalry 500 veteran bowmen 1 drum unit
Losses
Cargo 80 swordsmen 40 spearmen 30 archers (no counter applicable, it was ambushed)
Xiang Yang Army None
Sarugaku Jouten 300 veteran bowmen
(Veteran bowmen verses veteran bowmen)
1.0 ATT – 0.2 DEF = 0.8 || 0.8 x 500 = 400 (No counter applicable, you was ambushed)
Reason why I did this.
Simple, you waited several days hiding in the same spot. You weren’t clear and you’re way too eager, we encourage tasks to be done but not like this, never attack the same way and never aim big if you’re not willing to put the effort required into it. This is a warning, either retreat and lose only what my archers can hit or try and fight me properly. But never do a raiding task like this again, ambushes and raids are hard to do because they reward so well, so when you post like that I am forced to be tough in my response. I apologise if this annoys you, but I have to because you’re in a way – taking the piss out of how lenient we’ve been with you on your tasks.

With the sudden rush of arrows toward his arrow unit, the male quickly mounted his silver horse. The male shifted down the hill toward the convoy and where the thicket of his men were.
"Toward the east are the archers, I want 150 pikemen stop those arrows from firing!!!" Quickly the pikemen started to run into the area where the archers were firing. Doing their best to stop all of the fire that they were producing. Quickly the stomping of horses came from the west along with the battle cries of many men. "50 Pikemen stop them!!" 50 of them quickly braced them selves for the impact, they were still a little bit away, enough that the male could give about one or two more orders.
"I want 100 swords men, place your swords back and grab all the loot you can and get on a horse!!!" Quickly the men grabbed as much loot as they could and jumped on the back of the horse. The horse unit decided that they would go along a mountain side which was located along the north side of the road, one with enough cover with the thicket of the would. Enough cover that even if the pikemen failed to distract the archers it would still be very hard for them to hit the running away units.
Horse shifted around, right hand moved forward. "The rest of you, cover our escape though the thicket of the wood!!" Quickly he shifted around traviling as fast as he could toward the main unit that was escaping with the loot. The men that followed him ran as fast as their legs could take them. Everyone of them having the order to engage a unit if they caught up to them.
*Summary* *Sent 150 pikemen to the east to stop the archers *50 pikemen to brace the impact of the west *The general (me) and the remaining units fled the scene. *Units that were fleeing given orders to engage any troops that approached.
{Men that fled in total. 200 Swordsmen 100 Pikemen 100 Medium Cavalry Drum Unit}

The archers released another volley, directing them to the approaching pikemen as the prefect’s swordsmen and cavalry moved to intercept their flight. The prefect had not hoped for his enemy to be so well prepared, and once his cavalry charge – that met the spears of his enemies, fell, he did not know how to pursue with his ambitions. In truth, he had never truly engaged an enemy in combat, and had lacked all of the skill necessary to capture the brigands that stole loot that belonged to his city.
He flicked his arm out, yelled for the archers to fire again and then swiftly dodged a thrust from an approaching solider, he retaliated with a deflection of his sword, and then found himself lunging forward – tearing the armour from his opponent before downing him in one final decisive blow.
He was happy, but his enemies were in mid-flight when his own cavalry unit had finished the task of disposing the 50 pikemen, 50 men could never take on 500 and expect to survive the initial charge. Sadly, he had lost more men then he had wanted, but that was the way of war, all men were pawns – he just needed to find the plan where he’d be able to sacrifice them to capture the king!
His enemy retreated through the northern thicket of woods and shrub and bush, small platoons and regiments pausing to secure their retreat, his archers continued to fire arrows at will, whilst his own cavalry, spearmen and swordsmen advanced. They met and engaged with 100 swordsmen, who fought bravely until the end, then – before he could order the pursuit, his enemies were gone, hidden by the trees of the north.
Annoyed, but still in victory – the prefect retreated back to his own city, taking along whatever loot was left behind.
The Raid is a failure. However, loot was still obtained in your retreat.
Losses
Xiang Yang 35 heavy cavalry 70 veteran swordsmen
Sarugaku 50 pikemen (cavalry) 150 pikemen (archers obliterated you, no one should ever attack archers with pikemen, you get no bonus) 100 veteran swordsmen
I did tell you to steal stuff, but you got owned because you decided to fight 500 cavalry with 50 pikemen and you attacked 500 archers with 150 pikemen, they kill you in 1 volley worth. Think and use your good defending units, or SHIELDS! They automatically reduce the high formulated kills.
REWARDS
Sarugaku 700 Gold. 1 supply train.
