Pre-game BiographyBorn 173, Liang Zhi was a native of the former Qin and Han capital Xianyang, or as it is known now Chang'an, where he was born and raised by his parents. Being a man from a busy city he lived through marketing alongside his parents and young sister, the family sold steamed meat buns and rice on market days making enough to uphold the household and family. He grew up fond of martial arts and had the dream of being a general serving the country, thus it was until 190.
When Dong Zhuo took power over the two capitals things rapidly changed for Zhi, Zhuo was known to plunder the people and thats exactly what he did in Chang'an, he raided and burned, massacaring the people more everytime, the second raid took the lives of Zhi's entire family. His old father and mother and his young sister, all dead.
Heartbroken Zhi moved out of the city with no where else to turn or live anymore. He moved around the Central Plains coming and going like the rain, eventually he settled down in Nanyang, a area that occupied a vast amount of land in northern Jing Province, which was under Liu Biao jurisdiction.
After his family's murder Liang had been working on his martial ability all the more so that when he had a family he knew that he could defend them, never allowing the same thing to happen again. The murder of his family had made him strong of will.
In 197, Zhi was 24 he had a remarkable ability in all forms of weapons, hand-to-hand, and horse riding. It was around this time that he left his free life in the wilderness and headed into the Central Plains to apply for a position.
He started out as a minor officer in Chenliu county, serving under the magistrate in the defence of the city. The magistrate, turned out to be stingy however, he was corrupt and prone to violence, in court sessions for months Liang watched him extort the people, forcing bribes in cases. In 198 he had already had enough, he slew the magistrate in open court session.
Impressed with Liang's conduct the prefect of the county, had Zhi replace the former magistrate, it was then that Liang began to learn the political side of a man's career, he read his books and in his free time personally trained the troops in the county. He was loved by the people in the area.
Word of this soon reached Xuchang where Cao Cao impressed ordered the man summoned, the two met and Cao was impressed with the man's manner, he appointed him a General. Given such a position, Liang repayed the kindness with studying even more, military treatises, religious essays. He even grew a liking to the I Ching, and became famed for three coins hanging from his waist best, symobolizing his Feng Shui.
Hailed as a Saintly General by his troops after his success' in the Battle of Guandu, Cangting, White Wolf Mountain and the war against the Yuan brothers. While being a general, he was a scholar and administrator, skilled in all fields, he never shirked from his studies, when he had time he'd either open a book or pratice swordsplay.
He didn't participate in Cao Cao's southern campaign against Liu bei and Sun Quan, so was spared such a defeat on his military resume. Since then Cao Xiu a young member of the Cao clan, was offered the psoition of Grand Commandant, but declined stating he was too young, instead he recommended Liang Zhi, who took the position after initally refusing.
