As a witness of so many site deaths, I, Joseph have finally reached a conclusion... RTK sites, at the beginning of their somewhat short lifespan boast activity, as Administrators maintain enthusiasm. Gradually however, the enthusiasm that is present in the beginning deteriorates until it is no more, if not, real life gets in the way.
The only way to prevent this deterioration is through a large amount of staff members, with equal powers over a forum, this is the edge that ROTKgame has maintained over other RTK gaming sites over the years. With a large amount of Staff Members, Administrators and key staff members can afford to slack off, take breaks, and stress will be reduced greatly.
I see that there are so many that harbor an undying "addiction" to RTK Forum Roleplaying, if used properly, this could be used to create a successful RPG.
I propose a single RTK site, in which all RTK enthusiasts with forum modding experience will run. Call it a union of some sort.
Please reply with your opinions on the matter.

Yeah it's something we used to do a lot more often back in the day. No need for a new site just yet, I still have hope this can be returned to life if people would just believe in it. I have other commitments which is why I don't rp on here, but I actively support it through logging in and chatting when I can. I'd happily mod or gmod, but I would not admin. If I get chance in a bit I will make a post or so on here, see if i can get some sort of inspiration to rp rtk again I'm sure I'll manage something.

The problem is, nowafays people aren't commited enough to role play on a regular basis. ROTKgame is so successful because its a sim, not a role play, and takes minimal to no effort to be active and do decently there, which is why I refuse to play it.
If we were all going to work on one site, it still wouldn't work, as loyal members are hard to come by now, plus with so much staff there would be a lot of conflicting opinions which would eventually tear the site down from the inside. It would be a nice project to be in on, but with so many people would feel left out at some point or would lose enthusiasm.
It's a well intended idea, but in my opinion it wont work.
We need to school the new generation of TK role players and make them loyal to the concept of this site, as it is intuitive, and easy to understand, there is no reason to ditch this game unless there is no hope.

This site has really get structure. Better than a ton of games. Just needs to stay active.
ROTKgame is.......well idk. There is like literally no roleplay on that site from what I've seen.

I just barely registered here, though a few names already look familiar, an so mine might also. But I figured I'd interject my opinions on a few things, and they can be taken or left, as everyone sees fit.
-Loyal members have ALWAYS been hard to come by, for EVERY rpg site. Good ones, especially. It takes dedicated work, from dedicated staff, to breed that kind of loyalty.
-Staff coop. Great theory. Bad in practice. Sites that last, have one person running the show, BACKED UP BY a team of staff that he/she trusts, that work with and under him/her. There needs to be ONE, and only ONE voice, to arbitrate disputes, if nothing else.
-ROTK sites......been a member on a few....ran one....seen most of them die off, for the same reason every time. No insentive for new members. If the war stage is half over, and every territory is owned by someone....the only option for a new member is to become part of someone else's army. And some new members are cool with that. Others, usually the better, more dedicated style of player, go find someplace else, where they can have more creativity, more options. Only seen one site, that defeated this flaw.....and they did it by having nearly 100 territories on their map.
Just a few thoughts, since I've been at this for a while. Again, take it or leave it, up to you.

Just don't let it die. This is probably the only, besides ROTK Game, Romance of the three kingdoms RP currently alive.
